Well... maybe not, as this was a late topic addition to the blog. But still!
The kitchen is finished and I have finally taken pictures.
Just as a brief reminder of how hideous the kitchen was before, here is the picture I posted previously:
YUCK! Ugly cabinets (half of which no longer closed completely), hideous floor, useless appliances... the list goes on and on.
But now... and here is where the drum roll comes in...
Doesn't it look about 200 times better!? This kitchen reno was close to 6 months in the making as the SO and his stepfather did almost all of the work themselves. You have no idea how hard it is to live without a kitchen for that long! Torture! Where the fridge and large pantries are now used to be an empty area for an eat-in kitchen table, but there just wasn't enough cabinet space, and since the dining room is right behind the wall we decided to fill it up with useful space instead.
People, we are talking new drywall, paint, lights (pot lights and under cabinet) trim, cabinets, handles, appliances, and floor. A complete overhaul! But at this point, I couldn't be happier with the end result.
So now... I'm going to go mess it all up by baking!
